The Barakah Leadership Grant

Islamic centers rarely lack ideas or people who care.
The challenge is often turning important priorities into consistent action—especially when leadership teams are balancing programs, volunteers, fundraising and the demands of everyday life.
The Barakah Leadership Grant gives selected Islamic centers access to hands-on support to help strengthen leadership, improve execution and work together more effectively.
What Selected Centers Receive
Each selected center participates in the Barakah Leadership Accelerator—a guided, hands-on leadership implementation program.
The Accelerator is facilitated by Malik Khan, co-author of the BARAKAH Framework and a leadership advisor with more than 30 years of experience helping organizations improve alignment, accountability and execution.

The full cost is covered by donors and supporters who believe in strengthening our Islamic institutions.

Who This Is For
The Leadership Grant is designed for Islamic centers that:
- Have an active board or leadership team
- Want to improve how they lead and execute
- Are willing to attend sessions and follow through on commitments
- Are open to new ideas and ways of working
- Are committed to building a healthier, more effective organization
This isn't about finding the largest Islamic centers. It's about finding leadership teams committed to meaningful improvement.
Up to three Islamic centers will be selected for the pilot cohort

We're intentionally starting small so we can work closely with each leadership team, learn what creates the greatest impact and continue improving the program for future cohorts.
Before applying, please make sure your board or leadership team supports participating if selected. Implementation works best when there is shared commitment from the beginning.

Is this a $10,000 cash grant?
No. Selected Islamic centers receive participation in the Barakah Leadership Accelerator, a $10,000 guided leadership implementation program. The full program cost is covered by donors and supporters.
What kinds of Islamic centers are eligible?
We're looking for Islamic centers of various sizes with an active board or leadership team and a genuine commitment to improving how they lead and execute. Selection is based on readiness, commitment, potential impact and organizational fit—not size.
How much time should our leadership team expect to commit?
The program is designed with busy volunteer leaders in mind. Specific scheduling will be discussed with selected centers, but participants should be prepared to attend implementation sessions and follow through on commitments between meetings.
What happens after we apply?
Applications will be reviewed after the September 30 deadline. Selected centers will be contacted to discuss next steps and confirm participation. Centers that aren't selected for the pilot cohort will be welcome to apply for future opportunities.
